Let’s bring some fun to your events!
You’ll need to visit two websites to create this product. The first is our online puzzle maker page, which lets you create a puzzle with your own words, and the second is the Canva template page, where you can customize the rest of the design however you like. Don’t worry if you don’t have a Canva account yet; you can easily create one for free in no time!
First, open both the puzzle maker page and the Canva template page in your browser. We recommend keeping these sites open in two separate tabs in your browser while you work on your puzzle.
NOTE: If you purchased this product from WeddingPage’s Etsy shop, you can find these links in the PDF document that brought you here.
Part 1: Online Puzzle Maker
1. You can customize your puzzle by editing or adding new words.
Here are a few handy tips:
You can add unlimited Words.
The minimum width or height of your puzzle will be determined by the length of your longest word.
As the width and height of the puzzle increase, so will the difficulty level.
We do not recommend to use numbers, or special characters in Words.
2. Use the “Update the Puzzle” button to change the appearance.
3. Once you’ve determined the desired appearance for your design, download the puzzle image to your computer with clicking to the “Download Puzzle Image” button.
* After downloading your puzzle image, DO NOT CLOSE this page. You may want to create a different one to get a better view after adding your own words and puzzle image, and adjusting them to fit the positions in the template. To do this, simply click on the “UPDATE THE PUZZLE” button to create a new puzzle image.
Part 2: Template Editing
1. Words will not be included in the puzzle image you’ve downloaded. But you can easily move them to your template by copying and pasting after clicking the “COPY THE WORDS” button.
2. Now, remove the current puzzle image from the template and upload your own puzzle image.
3. The next step is to position your items appropriately on the template and personalize the other texts. You can add new text or graphics to your template, or remove any elements you don’t want to use. Feel free to customize it however you like!
4. Once you’re happy with your whole design, feel free to download it and get it ready for printing. First, click to “SHARE” button and select “DOWNLOAD”. Then, make sure to select “PDF Print” as the File Type. (You can also include crop marks and bleed if you plan on trimming the design after printing.) Just hit the “Download” button to save your print-ready file to your computer.
Part 3: Printing Your Design
You can easily print your designs at home or at a professional copy center with using the file you’ve downloaded!
Some useful printing tips and info:
To print two copies of your design side by side on a single page, select “2” for “Copies per Page” in the printer settings screen that appears just before printing. Make sure to adjust the print orientation and scaling settings according to your paper size, and then you’re good to go!
In regions like North America, including the US and Canada, as well as parts of Central and South America, the most commonly used paper size is called US Letter, which measures 8.5×11 inches. Designs measuring 5×7 inches can fit on half of a US Letter sheet when oriented horizontally.
In other parts of the world, such as Europe countries and Australia, the most commonly used paper size is called A4, which measures 21×29.7 cm. A5 paper is half the size of A4 paper when divided horizontally.
